Delphax’s Elan500 is an ultra high speed colour inkjet commercial printer. A clean, crisp and easy to maintain sheet metal exterior was used to highlight Delphax's patented Memjet colour injet printing technology. The units stationary printhead has 70,400 jets that fire up to 700 million drops of ink per second for exceptional print performance. The unit can print up to 500 A4 images per minute economically with a resolution of up to 1,600 dpi. With CYMK, and up to 2 spot colors, the Elan was designed not only for speed but also to satisfy the fussiest art directors.

OHM worked as outsourced industrial design consultants with the Delphax mechanical design team to develop The Elan 500HD. OHM played a key role in the conceptual design, industrial design, assembly and mechanical design, and the branding of the Elan 500HD Color Inkjet Press.
